Flowchart is a graphical or symbolic representation of an algorithm.
It is the diagrammatic representation of the step-by-step solution to
a given problem.
Def: An algorithm in pictorial form is called a flow chart.
The flow chart is primarily used as an aid in formulating and
understanding algorithms. The sequencing of instructions and
repetition of groups of instructions may be quickly seen by
inspecting a flow chart.
For easy visual recognition, a standard convention is used in drawing
flow charts. In this standard convention the following shapes are
used for various blocks in a flow chart.
